In 2012 and 2016, Ms. Dearn served as General Counsel for presidential campaigns for Libertarian Governor Gary Johnson. In 2018, Ms. Dearn represented witnesses before the grand jury in the Mueller investigation. She also served as panel counsel for criminal felony appeals for the Missouri State Public Defender. She has served on several non-profit boards.
